Impostor shows you a small set of Attack on Titan characters that all share a hidden connection — except one. Your job is to spot the character who does not belong and say so before the round is over.

The trick is that the connection is never announced. You have to infer what binds the others before you can identify the outsider, which turns a quick game into a real reasoning puzzle: four Survey Corps members and a Warrior is easy, but four characters who all lost a sibling and one who did not is not.

A group of characters appears together. Study what they have in common — regiment, origin, Titan power, a shared story beat — and then select the one you believe breaks the pattern.

A correct pick reveals the hidden connection and scores the round. A wrong pick ends it and shows you what the connection actually was, which is usually the moment the round makes sense in hindsight.

Rounds are short by design, so the game is built to be played in bursts rather than studied.

Name the connection before you name the outsider. If you cannot say what the group has in common, you are picking the character who feels least familiar rather than the one who does not fit — and the puzzle is usually built to punish exactly that.

Check the least obvious attributes first. Regiment and Titan power are what everybody looks at, so a well-made round tends to hinge on origin, age or allegiance instead.

When two characters both look wrong, ask which connection would need fewer exceptions. The real category is the one that explains everybody else cleanly.
