Memory Cards

Memory is the classic pairs game rebuilt with Attack on Titan artwork. The cards start face down, you flip two at a time, and matching pairs stay revealed until the whole board is clear.

It is the most relaxed game on the site and the one most people replay without meaning to, because the scoring is a personal challenge rather than a puzzle: not whether you can clear the board, but how few moves and how little time it takes you to do it.

Click or tap a card to flip it, then flip a second. If the two match, the pair stays face up. If they do not, both turn back over and the move is counted.

The board is cleared when every pair has been matched. Your result is the number of moves you used and the time you took, both of which are shown at the end.

Because the layout is shuffled each round, a good result comes from attention rather than from memorising a board you have seen before.

Work in a fixed order at the start instead of flipping at random. Sweeping the board row by row gives you a mental map of where things are, and the pairs start falling on their own once you have seen most of the cards.

When you turn over a card you have seen before, match it immediately rather than continuing your sweep. A known pair left on the board is one you will have to find again.

Slow down slightly on the second card of each move. Most wasted moves are pairs the player already knew, flipped too fast to register.
